Emma Seward is a Director, Producer and Choreographer who is sought after throughout the globe. Originally from the UK Emma trained and taught with the finest dance studios in London such as Italia Conti, Pineapple Studios and the Trinity Laban Conservatoire. Her professional dancing career began with MTV Asia and from here she set up her own Production company CPG Concepts in Hong Kong.

Emma has choreographed and worked with some of the biggest names in show business such as Katy Perry, Leona Lewis, Cher Lloyd, Kylie Minogue, Aaron Kwok, Jacky Cheung, Zhang Yimou, Shaquille O’Neal and Whitney Houston just to name a few. Emma is thrilled to be back teaching the kids of Macau for our first term of the 2022 season and to be once again sharing her extensive knowledge of dance and the Entertainment industry.

TOMOS GRIFFITHS
ACTING AND SINGING

Tomos is a renowned Producer, Promoter, Performer and Creative Director. Tomos has performed in over 40 countries around the world for Royalty, Prime Ministers and Celebrities. He has performed with the Australian Opera in productions of Turandot, Fiddler on the Roof, Carmen and Die Meistersingers. He was a guest artist with the world famous Count Basie Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Chinese National Symphony Orchestra. Tomos has also performed roles in productions of Chess, The Far Pavillions and most recently he played the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webbers Phantom of the Opera in London’s West End. Tomos has produced and promoted the international tours of shows such as Cats, The Sound of Music, Blue Man Group, Beauty and the Beast, Riverdance, Stomp and Tap Dogs just to name a few. Tomos is thrilled to be teaching the first term in this 2022 season and looking forward to sharing his passion for Acting and Singing.

CAITLIN DRYSDALE
HEELS AND HIP HOP

Caitlin is an Australian born professional dancer who first moved to Macau in 2016. She started her career in Australia performing at clubs in Sydney, corporate events and public events such as the Sydney Mardi Gras Parade. She started her first professional contract in 2014 with Norwegian Cruise lines and moved on to perform in shows all over the world such as Franz Harary’s "House of Magic" in Studio City Macau and "A Midnight Visit" in Sydney Australia. Caitlin moved back to Macau last year and is thrilled to be teaching and sharing her knowledge of Contemporary Dance and Hip Hop in the Macau Glee Club.

JOEL FESALBON
HIP HOP

Joel Fesalbon is a passionate professional dancer, performer, choreographer and teacher. Raised in Macau Joel specializes in Hip Hop, Commercial and Jazz technique. He has performed in various stage productions and tours in Asia and all over the world for major worldwide brands and clients such as CPG Concepts and Sands China Ltd. Joel performs regularly with major Pop singers such as Hua Chen Yu and JJ Lin. Joel is in demand to perform in and choreograph Music Videos in the region for several record labels and the up and coming Macau Artist Kane Ao Leong. Joel is passionate about the dance world and can not wait to get the party started at the next term for the Macau Glee Club!

MELINDA DAVIS
TAP DANCE AND AERIAL

Mel Received a Bachelor of Arts/ Education Double Degree in Dance and Drama from the Queensland University of Technology and went on to teach at High School Level Program before travelling overseas to follow her dream to dance. She worked for several contracts on cruiseships with Carnival and Royal Caribbean Cruiselines, pursuing her dream of dance and also Introducing her to Aerial performing on Aerial Silk, Spanish Web And harness work.

She then went on to tour with Cirque Du Soleil on 'Corteo' as Assistant Artistic Director during their Canadian and Japan leg. Then forwarded to Macau for an opportunity in Wardrobe and Stage Management Departments on Dragone’s Show ‘The House of Dancing Water’ and ‘Taboo’ at Cubic. 

Mel has then been working several years as an Instructor of Aerial, Dance and Fitness and a Performer and Choreographer assist on several corporate (MGM Macau, Sheraton Taipa, Wynn Palace Macau) and government based projects in Macau, Hong Kong and China (Shenzhen Fringe Festival 2018 & 2019, Longuines Masters HK Event 2018 & 2019, Macau Cultural Centre). Mel has completed Aerial Instructor certification courses with Xpert (Aerial Fitness - focus Aerial Silk), Necca (Aerial Silk), Spin City (Beginner Level Aerial Hoop) and is working towards Master the Silks Course with Womack and Bowman. Mel has a real passion for working and training students of all ages and strive always to maintain motivation and move forward. 

PAULO MESA
BREAKDANCE

Paulo Mesa was born and raised in Macau with a passion for dance and has been breakdancing for over 10 years. Paulo has won many breakdance competitions both locally and internationally and is a Macau Freestyle Breakdance Champion. He represented Macau at the Hip Hop International Finals in China. Paulo has also worked extensively as a professional dancer for clients such as BMW, Chevrolet and performed with many International and Chinese celebrities. Paulo has a passion to share his knowledge in the hope to inspire young people to dance by learning new dance moves and dance concepts while having fun and helping the individual find what dance means to them. Paulo is very excited to be back teaching the kids of Macau for another term and can not wait to see you there!

RUPERTO
BREAKDANCE AND HIP HOP

Ruperto is an approachable and dedicated dancer and choreographer based in Macau who is eager to share his passion for dance to those that he teaches. He aims to conduct engaging and fun classes using his experience in various street dance art forms such as breaking, hip-hop, popping and house. Ruperto has attended many dance workshops including workshops taught by world class choreographers such as Shaun Evaristo, Ysabelle Capitule, Chris Martin, Larkin Poynton, Carlo Darang and many more which has shaped his own style of dance today.

Ruperto is also one of the directors and head choreographers of a growing Macau-based dance team called 'Rebel Z'. He is also a member of a competing dance team based in the Philippines called ‘TPM (Team Package Makers)’ and have won championship in a national competition in the Philippines giving him the opportunity to officially represent the Philippines in a well-known international dance competition called ‘VIBE Dance competition’ in Los Angeles, California.

Ruperto can not wait to get the vibe going in the Street Dance training this term.

ANASTASSIA
BALLET

Anastassia is originally from Belarus where she was born and raised into a sporting and performing arts environment. She developed her interest in gymnastics, dance and the arts a a very early age at the Belarus Olympic School of Gymnastics. Her talent was very clear to see and after 4 years at the Olympic School she was transferred to the prestigious National Ballet Academy of the Republic of Belarus, it was here that she was inspired and her real passion for dance was ignited. During her time studying for a Bachelors Degree in Ballet Dance and Teaching she also went on to study Drama, Artistic make-up, Character Dance, Dance of the Nations and Piano. After graduating in 2003 Anastassia was then offered the role of Artist and Classical Ballet Dancer first category at the National Academic Grand Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus where she performed in over 25 Ballets, Operas and Musicals. Anastassia arrived in Macau in 2009 to work as a choreographer and dancer at L'Arc Macau and then went on to work at Galaxy Macau as Dancer. Currently she is working at the Grand Lisboa in the "Crazy Paris Show". Anastassia is a very passionate performer, choreographer and teacher who is thrilled to be teaching Ballet again with the Macau Glee Club this term.

DOROTHY LOI
ADMINISTRATION

Dorothy has been in the Entertainment and Events industry for over 14 years working for many integrated resorts here in Macau, including Sands China Limited, Melco Resorts & Entertainment, and corporate. She specialises in project and show management, Entertainment Events, Brand Management, and Marketing events.

Dorothy has achieved many successful goals in the projects she takes on, including hotel openings, property campaigns, corporate anniversary celebrations,  roadshows, festivals, Guinness world record events and product launches. 

Through all these years, Dorothy has kept her creative ideas flowing and is dedicated to creating and making remarkable shows with a passionate team.

Dorothy is thrilled to be working with the Macau Glee Club and is looking forward to making amazing things happen with the team.

ARI CALANGI
SINGING TEACHER

Ari is a singer/songwriter born and raised in Macau. As both a singer and multi-instrumentalist, ARI has incorporated a unique flare into his live performance. In 2011 ARI received a scholarship to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music and he has continued to grow and flourish as one of the finest Musicians in the region.

In 2016, ARI represented Macau in China's"SING! CHINA" 中國新歌聲 singing competition. Today, he continues to contribute his talents to the music industries of China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. In 2017, ARI toured Asia and North America with Taiwan aborigine artist, MATZKA, as both band leader and drummer for the tour. With a growing exposure for his musicality and songwriting, ARI was offered a songwriting deal with Beijing Record Label, Elevenz Music 十一音樂. This furthered the reach of his works into the albums of artists such as A-Lin, SU 蘇運瑩, Chen Chu Sheng 陳楚生, Karen Mok 莫文蔚 & many more. In 2018, ARI was assigned as band leader for A-Lin's China tour "I'm ALIN".

Recently, ARI has returned to Macau and Hong Kong and continues to collaborate with several artists and producers from the region and is thrilled to be teaching with the Macau Glee Club for his first Summer Workshops!

JORGE VALE
ACTING TEACHER

Jorge is an Actor, DJ, TV Host, Emcee, Producer, Writer and Sports Commentator originally from the  Azores region of Portugal, this is where his passion for the Arts was born. Jorge has a Communications Degree from the University of the Algarve with a major in Journalism. He first came to visit Macau in 1989 but moved to Macau permanently in 2005 to start work as a DJ for TDM Radio.  Jorge created several radio shows for TDM including, Bom dia Oumun, Acorda Macau and Rua das Mariazinhas he was also the host for the very successful TV show Musica Movimento​. It was during this time that he interviewed some of the biggest names in show business such as Lady Gaga, John Legend, Rain, Mayday, Chris Brown, Sam Hui, Tata Young and many more. Jorge also works as a sports commentator and has commentated on the Beijing Olympics, Brazilian Football World  Cup, Macau Grand Prix, 2016 UEFA Euro Football Championships in France just to name a few. 

Jorge is also a professional actor and has worked with  some of the finest names in Cinema and Theatre within the region. His cinema credits include The Handover, Years of Macau, O Cravo, Guia in Love and Return of the Cuckoo. Over the years he has worked on many theatre projects and most recently he performed in Projecto d" Homens and Tirapainaputau.

He loves to act, it allows him to be able to create characters for the stage and screen that convey messages  for the audience. Jorge is thrilled to be teaching Acting at the Macau Glee Club and to be able to share his passion for acting.

SEAN LIANG
ENGLISH AND ACTING TEACHER

Sean is professional ESL teacher, trainer, and parents educator. Sean graduated from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands in 2014 with a degree in Master of Science, he also has a Masters degree in Education from University of Chichester in the UK. Sean has a CELTA certificate awarded by Cambridge University, which is a qualification in teaching English as a second language. After a professional training of Drama in Education at the NILE institute in the UK and with several drama professors in HK, he has mastered the skills of applying drama as a methodology in teaching English and corporate training. 

Sean has spent years teaching young kids and adults English and training teachers in HK and Guangdong China, with companies such as Elite Education, Dramatic English Guangzhou, and New Oriental Education Guangzhou. He has worked with 5-star hotels and luxury brands to train their staff in communication and collaboration, for example, Garden hotel, Dongfang hotel, Mandarin Oriental, Bvlgari, etc. In order to better explore the learning style of each student, he has learned how to teach with LEGO bricks, and he is now a Certified LEGO®️SERIOUS PLAY®️ Method Facilitator.

Sean is excited to be joining the team and can not wait to teach young learners in the Glee Club. 

MAVIS LU
DANCE TEACHER

Mavis was born and raised in Taiwan where she started  to dance at the young age of 3 years old. It was then that she realised she had a passion for dancing and performing and began taking classes at dance school. Eventually Mavis went on to graduate from the prestigious Taipei University Dance Department with a major Modern Dance.

She started to develop her passion for teaching when she was in university.

Mavis had her first contract with the Sands China Entertainment Department at Sands Macau as a full time dancer in 2013. Over the last 10 years she has performed at some of the biggest events in Macau with the Venetian, Parisian, Sands Cotai Central and Londoner entertainment teams and has continued to grow as a dancer. During this time Mavis has also worked as a dance captain and choreographer. 

After finishing her full time job as a dancer she went back to teaching and she now teaches Contemporary Jazz, Jazz, and Heel classes. Mavis is excited to be a part of the team at the Macau Glee Club.
